Our Warranty Approach
We're Still Here for You After Your Project Is Complete
At Grace Alon Builders, our responsibility to our clients doesn’t end when construction does. Our warranty process is built around the same clear communication, careful evaluation, and thorough documentation as our design-build process. A simple principle drives this approach: treat our clients the way we would want to be treated.
Our written and legal warranty obligation extends for one year from the project completion date. During that period, we evaluate warranty concerns using the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Residential Construction Performance Guidelines as our starting point for workmanship standards.
A Standard for Evaluating Warranty Concerns
The NAHB Residential Construction Performance Guidelines establish achievable minimum levels of workmanship and provide the baseline we use to evaluate a potential warranty concern.
But those guidelines don’t replace our own judgment.
If our evaluation determines that our work should have met a higher standard in a particular situation, that factors into our decision. We look at each concern individually and follow our own core values to assess whether our responsibility exceeds the NAHB baseline.
How Our Warranty Process Works
When a homeowner brings a concern to our attention, we follow a documented process from the initial contact to the final review.
- You communicate your concern to our team.
We start by listening and gathering the information we need to understand the issue. - We document the concern in BuilderTrend.
We enter the information into our management system so there’s a clear record of the concern and the steps that follow. - We inspect the issue.
We schedule a day and time to visit your home and evaluate the concern ourselves. - We determine whether the concern is warrantable.
We evaluate what we find using the NAHB Residential Construction Performance Guidelines as our starting point, along with our own assessment. - We coordinate the appropriate trade contractor when necessary.
If we determine the concern is warrantable, we schedule the appropriate trade contractor to make it right. - We inspect the completed work.
After the issue has been addressed, we return to make sure the work has been completed to our satisfaction.
Throughout the process, we document the work in BuilderTrend, including relevant photos, attachments, supporting documentation, and updates.
What Happens After the One-Year Warranty Period?
If you contact Grace Alon Builders with a concern after our one-year written and legal warranty obligation ends, we’re still willing to hear it and evaluate the circumstances. We will investigate concerns and determine whether any action from us is appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
Contacting us after the one-year warranty period does not guarantee that an issue will be determined to be a warranty item or that corrective work will be provided. It means we’re willing to listen, investigate, and determine how to proceed based on the specific circumstances.
That approach reflects how we want to work with our clients from the first conversation through the final walkthrough, the warranty period, and beyond.
Have a Concern About Your Home?
If you have a concern you’d like Grace Alon Builders to evaluate, let our team know what’s going on. We’ll document your concern, review the circumstances, and determine the appropriate next step.

What Our Clients Think
"Grace Alon removed our 30 yr. old open deck and replaced it with a beautiful new covered deck. The roof line on the house was extended to cover the full length of the deck, giving us much more protection from sun, rain and snow. The roof extension also keeps the concrete area below the deck dry. Andrew Lee (the general contractor) and his subcontractors did a nice job and we're completely satisfied with the results."

What Our Clients Think
"Grace Alon Builders removed an exterior wall and incorporated our screened porch into our living room. We enlarged our fireplace facade and added wood storage. It was a complete success and we are very happy with the results. They are wonderful to work with and we highly recommend them. Denise and Giff"

What Our Clients Think
"Had a stone siding put up. Very pleased with the work and they did an excellent job. Will have them do my deck in the spring"
